Homemade Taco Powder Seasoning
We had ground turkey and quinoa taco bowls for dinner tonight. And although the recipe wasn't exactly noteworthy, or anything you could figure out on your own... I had to make a few ingredients myself. One of them was taco powder and the other was green enchilada sauce. Neither of the shelf stocked versions coincided with my clean eating plan, and were filled with artificial fillers and preservatives. Not to mention, most of the time you make something your self, it is going to be better! So below is my taco powder recipe. Its super simple, and chances are you will have most of these in your pantry. (For example, it turns out I have 5 ground cumin... Guess I'm stocked up there!) Makes about the size of a jar of baby food
Ingredients: 2 tbsp chili powder 1 tbsp cumin 2 tsp salt 1 tsp smoked paprika 1 tsp onion powder 1 tsp garlic powder 1 tsp corriander 1/2 tsp cayenne
Instructions: 1. Combine the ingredients listed above in a lidded container and shake well. 2. Add to taco meat, rice, etc...
